Email message from Lindsay Elliott-Hunt, Executive Director, Flagler Habitat for Humanity, June 7, 2010:
What an incredible evening Saturday! I was (and truly still am) so filled with joy seeing so many faith groups coming together, sharing in an evening celebrating the love of God. The singing and music was incredible and the inspirational words spoken by the represented churches was moving; all speaking about coming together as one, sharing in our similarities, not our differences.
The total donations from the love offering was $1157.25! Flagler Habitat for Humanity can't thank Santa Maria Del Mar enough for creating this wonderful evening of prayer and song and encouraging so many to come together. Your work in creating this event does not go unrecognized, THANK YOU!
I look forward to working closely with you in the future. Please let me know how I or Flagler Habitat can be of assistance!
At the end of the program as people were leaving they were all saying how much they loved everything and how wonderful the church at Santa Maria was, so kind and loving, just thinking of everyone's comfort and enjoyment, at one point two of the pastors called me "the woman at the well", making sure the singers had water I loved meeting everyone I felt so blessed .
But most of all I know last night given song and praise together to Our Lord made me feel that Jesus had his arms around all of us with a big smile and I could feel all the blessings last night on us all.

What a wonderful program last night!! You had better get a BIG church for next year because I'm sure there will be twice as many people attending. Everyone had such a great time and we heard all kinds of positive comments. Word of mouth will probably get more churches to participate.

Thank you so much for being so loyal to our "Lord Jesus" and putting this wonderful celebration together! What an awesome night of unity, worship, fun and fellowship in celebrating the love of our "Lord Jesus Christ" "Jesus" is "love" and his presence was there that night!
I look forward to the next unity celebration in January.
Thanks again for your efforts in putting the Unity Celebration together, and for all of us to be able to share a beautiful time with our sisters and brothers in "Christ" in the presence of our "Lord Jesus"! God bless you and your family!

Dear Mr. Phan,
I was in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton choir Saturday night at the Ecumenical Concert. We all had a wonderful time. I wanted to say thank you. I know it must have taken a lot of hard work and heart on your part to put it together. You persevered and it really paid off. I hope it is the seed planted that will grow into the Christian community of Flagler County working closer together to make heaven on the way to heaven. Our division must pain the heart of our Lord. I know your efforts did much in repartion to His Sacred Heart. Keep up the good work you are called to. I pray you find open hearts to your mission.
See you at the next gathering!
Peace & prayers,

I appreciate your comments to try to soften the negative comments int the article regarding another denonimations lack of participation. This year was the very first time that I had ever even heard of such an event as I am always ready to promote Christian Unity. Sometimes there are just distractions and who can say what the next event will bring.
You share the heart of my Pastor and our congregation to unify believers and get busy about the Father's business while it is yet day. We don't have time to build walls against other believers! There is a world dying out there who need to hear and see what true faith is! This event was truly directed by the Lord himself and you were His tool in bringing it about.
We may need to get the Flagler Auditorium for the next event as I believe that something wonderful has been started here. We will continue to fan the flames and believe that this county will be on fire to the Lord, worshipping Him in Unity in untold numbers of believers coming to participate!!

I am from SEAS Church and just want to congratulate you and Fr. Alberto on the wonderful Unity Event this last Saturday.... Worshiping with hands held up to the Lord is so great and so freeing! Thank you for all your hard work and I just hope next time Fr. Al will play his instrument and sing for us. I was especially blessed to have one of my daughters with me... she was very surprised and enjoyed the evening so much also. The most special time was also at the end when we all formed a circle and held hands and prayed the Our Father. Another great memory for me from the Catholic Charismatic conferences I attended often in the past. What a wonderful night of JOY and PRAISING The LORD! Thank you from the bottom of my heart….Looking forward to the upcoming event in January 2011.

The concert was absolutely magnificent. I was impressed with the performances and also with the homilies given by the two visiting clerics. They were GREATl.
I certainly hope we can keep this going and going and going.
